Head to Sugar Rush on the 6th of April with your children 5 and under to find out how to grow plants from seeds or a seedling. The iconic South African band from the late ’90s will be performing live at Sugar Rush on the 7th of April. The event runs from 1 to 5 in the afternoon. Tickets range between R20 and R150. The whole family is welcome and children will love running around the big field and playground. Drinks and food are available at the event.
Litchi Orchard Makers Market 13th April
The Litchi Orchard is holding a Markers Market on Saturday the 13th of April from 9 am to 1 pm. This market showcases some of the best local produce on the North Coast and you can taste some delicious food and craft beer while watching a live musical performance. The 13th of April market will see a few new stalls opening at the venue.
Ushaka Marine World 20th and 21st April
Take the kids to Ushaka Marine World for the biggest Easter Egg Hunt in Africa. On both days over 100 000 eggs will be hidden throughout the park. Kids will be given a treasure map and a number of fun activities to complete. Ticket prices are R186 for kids (3-12) and R159 for anyone over the age of 13. Children under the age of 3 are free. Tickets give you access to the Easter Egg Hunt, the Aquarium, and Wet ‘n Wild waterpark. All the parks mascots will be on hand to help kids complete the activities and find the Easter eggs. This event supplies Cadbury Easter treats.
The Easter Bunny has hidden eggs all over the Botanic Gardens and is inviting children to come and search for the eggs on the 20th April at 9:30 in the morning. This event is very popular as you get to walk around the stunning Botanic Gardens while looking for Easter Eggs. Tickets are R95 per person. Book your ticket on Webtickets early as they tend to sell out very quickly. The Botanic Gardens event uses Beacon chocolates for their treats.
