Set along Ocean Drive, this comfortable coastal retreat offers sweeping sea views, generous indoor-outdoor living and a front-row view of the ever-changing Indian Ocean.

The heart of the apartment is its spacious covered veranda, where wide sliding doors open the living area to the sea beyond. Here, mornings begin with coffee and ocean views, afternoons stretch into long lunches, and evenings are enjoyed around the gas braai as the sun sets over the water. With the ocean directly in front, guests may also be fortunate enough to spot whales and dolphins from the comfort of the veranda, depending on the season and conditions.

The shoreline below The Islands is constantly changing with the tides. At certain times, the water reveals a small sandy beach along the rocky coastline, while at high tide the ocean reaches almost to the rocks, creating a beautiful and ever-changing seascape.

While the apartment does not have direct beach access, guests can reach the coastline via a dedicated gate and coastal nature walk within The Islands complex. A communal swimming pool is also available for guests and residents to enjoy.

Inside, the apartment is light, comfortable and relaxed, with the emphasis firmly on its exceptional setting. The current owner has thoughtfully refreshed the home with improvements including new tiling and an updated kitchen, with further enhancements planned over time.

There is also a story behind this home. For around three generations, it was a cherished family holiday home, a place where generations gathered and memories were made beside the sea. The owner has now opened it to holidaymakers for the first time, inviting guests to create their own memories here. Selected artwork created by the owner’s mother, an artist, adds a subtle personal connection and warmth to the home.

The apartment comfortably accommodates families, friends and multi-generational groups across three ocean-facing bedrooms. The privately positioned master bedroom features a king-size bed, full sea views and sliding doors opening onto the balcony, together with a full en-suite bathroom offering both a bath and shower.

The second bedroom also enjoys full ocean views and opens onto the balcony, while the third bedroom features two single beds and its own private balcony. These two bedrooms share a second bathroom with shower and toilet. With sea views from all three bedrooms, the ocean remains part of the experience from morning to night.

The fully equipped kitchen includes a fridge-freezer, stove and oven, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, air fryer and espresso machine. The apartment is fully air-conditioned and offers uncapped high-speed Wi-Fi, while a smart TV provides relaxed evening entertainment using guests’ own streaming accounts. Family games are also provided for enjoyable evenings together.
